The poetics of design communicate beyond explicit function (as poetry does beyond words) to address holistic individuals—us. This is exactly how the wellness model of health invites designers to contribute. No matter the use case, we and our “users” always show up as complex, multidimensional beings with emotional, physical, cognitive, spiritual and social needs that design needs to address. Italy expects it. Health and wellness demand it. Healthcare needs to require it.
